In a pioneering move catering to the evolving preferences of Indian travellers, Albatros Expeditions has announced a unique offering that allows Indian groups to bring their own chef or Maharaj onboard during expeditions to the polar regions. This first-of-its-kind initiative, introduced in collaboration with STIC Travel Group, the official marketing and sales representative of Albatros Expeditions in India, is set to redefine luxury expedition cruising for Indian travellers.

Indian travellers are known for their deep appreciation of culinary experiences, and this initiative ensures that they no longer have to compromise on food while embarking on Arctic and Antarctic adventures. The Chef-on-Board offering enables travellers to enjoy personalised, home-style meals or gourmet Indian cuisine while exploring some of the world’s most breathtaking yet remote destinations.

Expanding Horizons: Greenland and Beyond
Building on their two-year partnership, STIC Travel Group and Albatros Expeditions are now expanding their collaboration beyond polar expeditions. The partnership will now include sales of Greenland land-based products and flight ticketing services for the new Copenhagen-Kangerlussuaq route, operated by Albatros Arctic Circle in collaboration with Air Greenland.

Highlighting the success of their collaboration, Anders Ellemann Kristensen, Sales Director at Albatros Expeditions, emphasised the growing interest of Indian travellers in unique expedition experiences.

Showcasing at SATTE 2025
To further engage with the travel trade and industry partners, STIC Travel Group and Albatros Expeditions will be exhibiting at the South Asia Travel and Trade Exhibition (SATTE) in New Delhi from February 19-21, 2025. The event will serve as a platform to showcase their latest offerings, including the Chef-on-Board experience and the newly launched Greenland travel services.
