February 1, 2025 | Press Release

Bintan Resorts, in collaboration with VFS Global, recently concluded a series of successful trade engagements across key Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore. The initiative, which included luncheons and destination workshops, aimed to bolster relationships with prominent B2B travel agents and tour operators, reaffirming Bintan’s commitment to the Indian travel market.

Positioned as a seamless getaway accessible via Singapore, Bintan offers Indian travellers a blend of pristine beaches, adventure activities, and luxurious accommodations. With newly revised Indonesian visa norms easing entry, the destination is becoming an increasingly attractive addition to Singapore itineraries.

Speaking about the collaboration, GB Srithar, Head of Tourism Services at VFS Global, highlighted India’s significance in Southeast Asia’s travel landscape. “India has always been a key market for Southeast Asia. Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance travel opportunities and ensure a smooth, memorable experience for Indian tourists,” he stated.

Pak Wahab, Chief Operating Officer of Bintan Resorts, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing India’s growing interest in experiential travel. “India represents immense potential for Bintan, given the rising interest among Indian travellers for unique and experiential destinations. By engaging with key B2B stakeholders, we are confident of building stronger connections and opening new avenues for tourism growth between India and Bintan,” he noted.

Bintan Resorts, an award-winning integrated beach resort destination, is home to 19 independent beach resorts, four designer golf courses, and a wide range of recreational facilities and attractions. Spanning the northern coast of Bintan Island, it is located just a 60-minute catamaran ferry ride from Singapore, making it an easily accessible tropical escape for Indian travellers.

With growing collaborations and strengthened ties with India’s travel trade industry, Bintan is poised to witness a surge in Indian tourist arrivals, solidifying its position as a premier leisure and adventure destination in Southeast Asia.
