The Tourism Office of Spain (Turespaña) and LALIGA joined forces to host an exhilarating watch party at the historic Bombay Gymkhana, uniting Indian football enthusiasts with the passion and culture of Spain. The event celebrated the highly anticipated Real Madrid CF vs. CA Osasuna match, offering guests an immersive experience that blended the thrill of the game with the essence of Spanish heritage.

From delectable tapas to engaging raffles, the event highlighted Spain’s vibrant culture while reinforcing the strong bond between the two nations. This collaboration aimed to connect Indian fans to Spain’s love for football, leveraging the universal language of the sport to deepen cultural ties.

Promoting Football and Culture in India

Through its LALIGA Football Schools program, the league has trained over 6,500 young players at 48 centres nationwide, showcasing its dedication to nurturing football in India. The league also caters to Indian audiences with locally optimised match timings and the recently launched “Welcome to LALIGA” guide, offering insights into the 2024-25 season.

Elena Orland, Director of the Tourism Office of Spain in India, reflected on the event’s significance, “This watch party is a perfect blend of Spain’s beloved game and its incredible cultural diversity.
