Egypt to host the maiden convention of Global Tourism Council Trust in 2018 News Officially formed in December 2016, the Global Tourism Council Trust (GTCT) is all set to stage it's maiden convention this year in September. After contemplating a list of destinations for the convention, the trust zeroed in on Egypt. Scheduled to take place from September 16-19 at the Marriott Cairo Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino in Cairo, Egypt; the convention is organised in collaboration with the Egypt Tourism. Unlike other travel trade associations who are focused on purely travel, the GTC Convention 2018 will be focusing on three different segments - Tourism Conclave, Investment Summit & Film industry connect. Hence the theme of the convention is 'Innovate & Invest - New Challenges'. The business sessions and speakers are already being lined up for this event and the registrations are already open. Speaking about the maiden convention in Egypt, Iqbal Mulla, Chief Council, GTC said, "We had a very clear focus about the mission and vision of the council from the very start. Unlike the usual tourism conventions, we intend to focus only on the business side of a conference. We are expecting close to 350 people from India and close to 100 suppliers from Egypt at the event. We intend to maintain the quality of delegates to ensure a productive business trip for all our attendees and the destination too." Ismail Amer, Egyptian Tourism Counsellor said, "We are delighted to welcome GTC to Egypt. Egyptian Tourism strongly supports this event & it will do the maximum needed to make this convention a huge success. India & Egypt, both countries, have been in a strong friendship & long term co-operation for many years. I see this occasion as a further sign of such a co-operation. My best wishes on the happy beginnings of this forthcoming event." Share this:FacebookX
