Rainforest World Music Festival – Can it be a big hit among Indian travellers?

When it comes to music festivals, the biggest may not necessarily be the best. Indian travellers are not only looking for unique destinations to travel to but are also indulging in exquisite experiences to understand the destination in a better way. The second best way to understand a country is through its local music and culture (first being food, of course!).

The Digital Travellers team attended the recently held Rainforest World Music Festival in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak region of Malaysia. With over 24,000 music lovers from across the globe, the festival proved to be a big hit among Asian & European travellers. An initiative by Sarawak Tourism Board, RWMF has till date proved to be the most popular marketing stint by the organisation. However, the venue which hosts the RWMF every year (The Cultural Village) has the capacity to manage 5,000-6,000 people at a time and hence, the board is not looking at attracting more numbers.

We bring you the top video highlights of the 21st annual edition of Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) held in Kuching, Sarawak in Malaysia.
