Ram Charan Makes History at Madame Tussauds Singapore – With His Dog Rhyme By His Side

May 13, 2025 | Press Release

In a landmark moment for Indian cinema and its global reach, superstar Ram Charan has become the first Indian celebrity to be immortalised in wax alongside his pet — a testament not just to his star power but also to his deep personal bond with his beloved dog, Rhyme.

Unveiled first at Madame Tussauds London, the life-sized wax figure of Ram Charan — and a strikingly realistic model of Rhyme — will be permanently housed at Madame Tussauds Singapore starting May 20.

This dual unveiling marks a world-first for Madame Tussauds: never before has a celebrity and their pet been featured together in such lifelike detail. Ram Charan, joined by his family and legendary actor-father Chiranjeevi at the London reveal, was visibly moved by the creation.

“When I saw the figure for the first time, I was absolutely stunned. The likeness is unbelievable—from the expression to the stance to the exact detail of Rhyme by my side,” said Ram Charan. “It’s like looking in a mirror, and I’m so thrilled that fans around the world will get to experience me up close.”

The artistry behind the sculpture, led by Merlin Magic Making’s principal sculptor Jim Kempton, involved meticulous planning and months of craftsmanship. “What made this project so special was the chance to capture not just a global film icon, but the deep connection he shares with his dog, Rhyme,” said Kempton. “We worked closely with Ram to ensure every detail—from his posture and smile to Rhyme’s alert gaze—was perfect.”

The figure features Ram Charan in a custom black velvet bandhgala, the very outfit he wore at the 2023 Oscars where “Naatu Naatu” from RRR created history as the first Indian song to win in its category. The ensemble blends Indian tradition with red-carpet finesse — a nod to the actor’s roots and rising global appeal.

Andre Timmins, Co-Founder of IIFA, described the unveiling as “a milestone moment” in the global journey of Indian cinema. “Ram Charan’s figure reflects the growing influence of regional cinema alongside Bollywood on the world stage,” he said. “As we continue to amplify Indian film through IIFA and IIFA Utsavam, it is heartening to see the world embrace our stars, stories, and artistry.”

Fans visiting Madame Tussauds Singapore will not only be able to stand beside the charismatic Telugu star but also interact with a piece of his personal life — Rhyme, sculpted in an alert, lifelike pose beside him.

With this exhibit, Madame Tussauds Singapore strengthens its focus on Indian cinema, bringing icons from Bollywood and South Indian industries into the global spotlight in an immersive, unforgettable way.

Don’t miss your chance to meet Ram Charan and Rhyme — only at Madame Tussauds Singapore, from May 20.
