Ras Al Khaimah Wraps Up Successful India Roadshow, Deepens Trade Ties Across Four Cities

July 28, 2025 | Press Release

As Indian outbound travel gains momentum, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) concluded a strategic four-city roadshow across New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, reaffirming its commitment to one of its most high-potential source markets.

Held from July 21 to July 25, the multi-city event connected RAKTDA representatives, hotel partners, and DMCs with over 300 key Indian travel trade professionals across segments including leisure, weddings, and MICE. With a focus on business conversations and meaningful relationship-building, the roadshow featured one-on-one interactions, exclusive brunches, and networking dinners aimed at showcasing the Emirate’s evolving appeal to Indian travellers.

“These impactful business conversations paved the way for strategic collaborations, with partners exploring opportunities tailored to the Indian market,” noted a RAKTDA spokesperson.

A Destination of the Future for Indian Travellers
Often referred to as the “Nature Emirate”, Ras Al Khaimah is positioning itself as a compelling alternative to traditional UAE destinations. With luxury resorts, desert experiences, mountaintop adventures, and cultural heritage, the Emirate appeals to a wide cross-section of Indian outbound travellers—from honeymooners and adventure seekers to MICE groups and wedding planners.

RAKTDA’s India outreach is paying off. In 2025 year-to-date, Indian visitor numbers have risen by an impressive 25%. This follows a record 1.28 million international overnight visitors in 2024, with tourism revenues climbing 12% and a 40% growth in MICE business. These numbers reinforce Ras Al Khaimah’s ambitions to attract 3.5 million visitors by 2030.

Better Connectivity, Stronger Trade Partnerships
Indian travellers now enjoy improved access to Ras Al Khaimah thanks to IndiGo’s direct flights from Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kochi, landing at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. This, along with RAKTDA’s ongoing investments in aviation partnerships, joint marketing efforts, and strategic alliances with Indian travel agents, is expected to further fuel growth.

“With Ras Al Khaimah’s proximity to major Indian cities, enhanced air connectivity, and positioning as a premium leisure and wedding destination, India is poised to play a central role in the Emirate’s vision,” the Authority stated.

Weddings, MICE & Nature: A Winning Mix
Indian agents attending the roadshow were particularly drawn to Ras Al Khaimah’s versatile venues for destination weddings, tailored incentives for planners, and year-round appeal. Adventure options like the world’s longest zipline at Jebel Jais, desert safaris, and marine experiences add layers of discovery that go beyond the conventional.

With its growing portfolio of luxury offerings and strategic trade engagements, Ras Al Khaimah is fast emerging as a preferred destination for Indian travellers seeking immersive, nature-based luxury—all within a short flight from home.
