Taiwan Tourism Reignites in New Delhi with a Grand Post-Pandemic Roadshow

September 12, 2024 | Press Release

Taiwan Tourism has made a strong comeback in the Indian market, marking its first major post-pandemic event with an impressive roadshow at Le Meridien, New Delhi. With over 120 participants, including more than 110 travel agents and 12 leading travel trade media houses, the event highlighted Taiwan’s growing appeal as a top destination for Indian travellers, particularly in the leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors.

In partnership with Air India and EVA Air, the roadshow focused on boosting travel connections between India and Taiwan. With direct and convenient flight routes, the stage is set for a seamless travel experience, making Taiwan an attractive destination for Indian tourists. The event buzzed with excitement, featuring lucky draws, social media challenges, and an engaging Q&A session where participants had the chance to win exclusive prizes.

One of the highlights of the roadshow was a grand prize giveaway, won by Ice Group India, which included round-trip tickets from Singapore to Taipei via EVA Air, a city tour, and access to Taipei 101 for two.

Noel Saxena, Representative of Taiwan Tourism in India, emphasised the importance of the Indian market, stating, “We are on a mission to take Taiwan tourism to new heights. India’s MICE segment holds immense potential, and events like these help us tap into this growing market.” He further announced a networking seminar with Thai Airways in Mumbai and an upcoming roadshow in the city at the end of September, along with a FAM trip to Taiwan for Indian travel partners to experience the country firsthand.

EVA Air’s representative added, “We’re thrilled to promote Taiwan as a top destination. Our codeshare with Air India and various interline options ensure smooth connectivity, making Taiwan more accessible for Indian travellers.”

As Taiwan Tourism continues to make waves in India, it is also gearing up for ITB Mumbai, further strengthening its position in the Indian market and showcasing its diverse offerings to both leisure and business travellers.
