As part of our FAM trip to Greece, hosted by WOFT Group (represented by Global Destinations in India) in association with Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, we had the privilege of dining at this stunning property. What unfolded was more than a meal; it was a masterclass in hospitality, aesthetics, and the art of gastronomy.

A Warm Welcome in The Salon
The moment we entered The Dolli, it was clear that this wasn’t just another five-star hotel—it was a living gallery. The Salon, which serves as the lobby, immediately caught our attention. Instead of the typical check-in desk and impersonal formalities, we were greeted with an inviting spread of treats and snacks. This thoughtful gesture felt like a warm embrace, a reminder of the deeply ingrained Greek tradition of philoxenia, or love for strangers.

Guests, we were told, are welcome to these delights as they arrive, making the Salon feel more like the living room of an elegant home than a hotel lobby. Coupled with its impeccable design—sleek furniture, warm lighting, and an understated yet luxurious aesthetic—the space set the tone for the experience to come.

Next came the showstopper: the rooftop restaurant, a space that redefines dining with a view. The panorama was breathtaking, dominated by the iconic Acropolis perched majestically above the cityscape. As the sun began to set, the golden hues bathed the ancient ruins in a glow that felt almost otherworldly. Few places in Athens offer such an intimate connection with its historic heart, and The Dolli has perfected this vantage point.

What’s more, several of the hotel’s rooms share this enviable perspective. Imagine waking up to the sight of the Parthenon in the morning light or sipping a nightcap with the illuminated Acropolis in view. It’s these touches that elevate The Dolli from a hotel to an unforgettable experience.
