Apollo Funds to Acquire The Travel Corporation, Including Uniworld River Cruises

July 17, 2024 | Press Release

Apollo and The Travel Corporation (TTC) have announced a definitive agreement for Apollo-managed funds to acquire TTC. The acquisition includes 18 brands, such as Trafalgar, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Contiki, and Insight Vacations.

Brett Tollman, Chairman, TTC commented, “After 104 years of family leadership, we have decided to select a new owner with a proven track record who shares our vision and values. We trust Apollo to continue driving the business forward and meet the growing global demand for touring, river cruising, and adventure travel.”

Michele Raba, Private Equity Partner, Apollo added, “TTC has a leading collection of brands that we believe we can elevate as part of Apollo Funds, leveraging our experience in the travel, tech, and hospitality sectors. We thank the Tollman family for trusting us with the business they’ve built and look forward to an exciting new chapter.”

The transaction is pending regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024. Specific brands, including The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, are excluded from the sale and will remain under the Tollman family’s management. Financial details were not disclosed.
