Centara Hotels & Resorts Ranks as Thailand’s Strongest Brand for Second Consecutive Year

July 3, 2024 | Press Release

Centara Hotels & Resorts, the leading hotel operator in Thailand, has once again been honored as the strongest brand in Thailand according to Brand Finance’s “Thailand 50” report for 2024. This accolade marks the second consecutive year that Centara has topped this prestigious list, following the recognition of its flagship five-star brand, Centara Grand, as Thailand’s best brand last year.

The Brand Finance Thailand 50 report evaluates brands on criteria such as brand equity, trust, and financial performance. Centara’s consistent top ranking underscores its commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence, as well as its significant progress towards becoming a top 100 global hotel operator by 2027.

Centara’s success over the past year has been highlighted by several major projects. Notably, the group launched the Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, a 33-storey urban icon that marks its debut in Japan. In Thailand, the opening of Centara Ayutthaya further demonstrated the company’s dedication to delivering world-class hospitality across the kingdom. Additionally, the launch of COSI Vientiane Nam Phu in Laos marked the international debut of the innovative and affordable lifestyle brand, COSI.

Looking ahead, Centara is set to expand its domestic and international portfolio with key openings and upgrades in 2024 and beyond. In Thailand, Centara Life Lamai Resort Samui will welcome guests in August, while comprehensive renovations at Centara Karon Resort Phuket and Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya will enhance these popular destinations.

Internationally, Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives is scheduled to open in November as part of The Atollia by Centara Hotels & Resorts, a new multi-island destination in the Indian Ocean. This underwater-themed resort will offer family-friendly facilities centered around a waterpark with a lazy river. In 2025, it will be joined by Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives, an upper-upscale resort.

Centara is also exploring opportunities to expand its six brands in key markets, including Thailand, the ASEAN region, the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Japan, and China. This expansion is driven by Centara’s unique style of warm, family-centric Thai hospitality.

Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts, expressed his pride in the recognition, stating: “It is a true honor to be recognized as Thailand’s strongest brand. This important accolade marks another major milestone for Centara and highlights our commitment to sustainable growth and delivering unparalleled guest experiences on the global stage. Our achievements over the past year reflect our strategic focus and dedication to showcasing Thai hospitality excellence to the world.”

With a clear vision for growth and a strong emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction, Centara Hotels & Resorts continues to lead the hospitality industry in Thailand and beyond.
