Goa to get more accessible with new wheelchair taxi operations

With an aim to make Goa a fully accessible destination and address different mobility issues of tourists, accessible holiday specialist Enable Travel has partnered with Ezy Mov, a wheelchair taxi service, to provide accessible guided tours.Debolin Sen, Head, Enable Travel, Shama Noorani, Enable Travel expert, and Bennet D’cunha, Co-Founder and CEO of Ezy Mov announced their partnership for the initiative.

“Goa serves as one of the most popular travel destinations in India for both domestic and international tourists. However, due to lack of such facilities, people with mobility issues are unable to experience it. We have partnered with Ezy Mov who are experienced to address the need to create an inclusive travel environment,”said Sen.

Hence, we share the common vision of providing end-to-end assistance to our customers. travelling from all over the world into India and Goa in particular. This service will also be available for the local population to meet their healthcare and social needs,” D’cunha.

Since its launch in March 2017, Enable Travel, powered by Cox & Kings has hosted attractive curated holiday experiences for people living with disability and senior citizens. It has been working with various travel providers, hotels, transport companies and disability experts. The brand is today present across over 220 domestic and international destinations.

The service in Goa will start in the next 30 days with five vehicles, in specific locations and with a two-pricing model: rental services and catering to healthcare or social needs, where senior citizens also become stakeholders.
