Operational Achievements and Network Expansion 2024 was a record-breaking year for Jazeera Airways in terms of operations. With 18,374 aircraft movements, the airline maintained its position as the most active carrier at Kuwait International Airport for the third consecutive year. Despite challenges such as regional airspace disruptions and a global IT outage during the summer, Jazeera improved its On-Time Performance (OTP) from 74% in 2023 to 86% in 2024, reinforcing reliability for passengers. The airline also renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, reflecting its commitment to top-tier safety and quality standards. The airline expanded its network with the introduction of two new leisure destinations—Krakow, Poland, and Batumi, Georgia—alongside the relaunch of Bhairahawa, Nepal. Key seasonal destinations were also resumed to cater to rising travel demand. Fleet Enhancements and Customer Experience Upgrades To strengthen its fleet, Jazeera Airways added a new aircraft and completed the acquisition of six Airbus A320 CEO aircraft, aimed at reducing costs and mitigating supply chain challenges. Additionally, the airline introduced several customer experience enhancements, including upgraded in-flight meals, improved seat selection, flexible baggage options, and the launch of Travel Cash, a seamless foreign currency solution. Sustainability remained a core focus, with the airline ranking third globally in fuel-saving efficiency under the Open Airlines SkyBreathe® program. Jazeera Airways also received recognition as an “Employee Wellness Advocate” at the HR Excellence Awards for the second consecutive year, emphasising its commitment to workplace well-being. Looking Ahead: Growth and Digital Transformation As Jazeera Airways celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025, the airline is set to accelerate its digital transformation to enhance the passenger experience further. Fleet optimisation is underway, with plans to shift to a 180-seat configuration by Q3 2025 and the addition of 26 new aircraft starting in 2027. Infrastructure developments at Jazeera Terminal 5 are also in the pipeline to accommodate rising passenger volumes. With a strong financial foundation, an expanding fleet, and continued innovation, Jazeera Airways is well-positioned for sustained growth in the years ahead. Chairman Marwan Boodai emphasised the airline’s resilience, stating, “Jazeera Airways’ strong performance in 2024 reflects our strategic agility, operational excellence, and commitment to our passengers. As we drive forward with digital transformation in 2025, we remain focused on enhancing connectivity and customer experience.” Share this:FacebookX
