Resorts World Cruises Celebrates Second Anniversary with Open House Event in Singapore

June 24, 2024 | Press Release

Resorts World Cruises marked its second anniversary with a special ‘Open House’ event held on Sunday aboard its cruise ships, the Genting Dream and Resorts World One. The celebration drew close to 1,000 attendees, including business and travel partners, local authorities, and regional media.

The event provided registered guests with a unique opportunity to explore the ships, interact with the crew, and experience the onboard amenities firsthand. Attendees enjoyed previews of the ships’ facilities, accommodations, entertainment options, and sampled a variety of food and beverages.

Resorts World Cruises has welcomed nearly 3.3 million passengers to date, with the Genting Dream and Resorts World One serving as flagships. The cruise line operates from homeports in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, and Jakarta, and will add Keelung and Dubai as homeports in July and October, respectively. The cruise ships visit over 30 destinations, including recent additions such as Ho Chi Minh City, Con Son, Bangkok, Ko Samui, and Redang Island.

A highlight of the anniversary event was the introduction of Resorts World Cruises’ new mascot, Pin Pin. This charming and adventurous character will be a regular presence on the ships, engaging with guests and promoting exciting activities and destinations. Pin Pin will also feature in fun and games on the Resorts World Cruises website, offering visitors a chance to win prizes.

Michael Goh, President, Resorts World Cruises, expressed his gratitude at the event, stating, “To have the Genting Dream and Resorts World One here together in Singapore for our second anniversary is truly special. Today’s ‘Open House’ celebration is our way of thanking our valued guests and supporters. We are delighted with the strong turnout and excited to introduce Pin Pin, our new mascot.”

During the event, Resorts World One joined Genting Dream in receiving the official OIC/SMIIC Standard Halal-Friendly Cruise Ship certification. This certification ensures that Muslim travelers can enjoy certified Halal cuisines and other Muslim-friendly services on both ships.

Resorts World Cruises continues to earn international accolades for its top-tier services and offerings. The cruise line has been recognized as the ‘Best Cruise Line’ in both the ‘Cuisine’ and ‘Entertainment’ categories by the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Award for two consecutive years (2022 and 2023). Additionally, it won the ‘Best Cruise Line’ at the TTG Travel Awards 2023 and the ‘Best Asian Cruise Line Award’ at Hong Kong’s Headline Daily No.1 Fun Travel Awards.

The excitement aboard Resorts World Cruises ships is set to continue with a variety of attractive itineraries. The Genting Dream offers 2, 3, or 4-night cruises from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) to Penang and Phuket. Resorts World One will operate 5-night cruises between Singapore and Jakarta, including a stopover in Kuala Lumpur until early July 2024. From July 12, Resorts World One will sail from Keelung and Kaohsiung with 2, 4, and 5-night cruises to Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan. Starting October 18, 2024, until April 13, 2025, the ship will homeport in the Arabian Gulf, offering various cruises from Dubai, UAE.
