In recognition of the industry’s outstanding players, the Asia Cruise Leaders Network (ACLN) has traditionally awarded various accolades in categories such as Asia Best Cruise Line, Asia Best Cruise Ship, Asia Best Cruise Homeport, Asia Best Cruise Ports of Calls, Asia Best Cruise Research Institute, Asia Best Cruise Tour Agency, and more. However, this year, ACLN introduced a new category, the Special Achievement Award, as a means to foster solidarity among the diverse stakeholders within the industry.

Raymond Lim, Chief Operating Officer, Resorts World Cruises who was present at the 9th Asia Cruise Awards said “First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Asia Cruise Leader Network (ACLN) secretariat and the organising committee of the Asia Cruise Forum Jeju for this Special Achievement Award. Our success in resuming cruise operations is a testament to the strength of our internal teamwork and the mutual trust between industry stakeholders, including cruise lines, government authorities, port authorities, travel agents and from our valued guests”.

The decision to introduce the Special Achievement Award comes at a pivotal time, reflecting the immense challenges faced by the cruise industry during the global pandemic. By acknowledging outstanding contributions, ACLN aims to strengthen the bonds between industry stakeholders and encourage collaboration, trust, and support among them.

Resorts World Cruises’ receipt of the Special Achievement award highlights its commitment to revitalising the cruise industry across Asia in a post-pandemic landscape. With its expansion into new destinations and a growing fleet, Resorts World Cruises is setting new standards for exceptional cruise experiences in the region.

As the industry continues to recover and adapt, the introduction of the Special Achievement Award marks a significant milestone in recognising the resilience, innovation, and cooperation demonstrated by all stakeholders. By celebrating these achievements, ACLN reinforces the spirit of unity and collective progress within the Asian cruise industry.
