Royal Jordanian Airlines Announces New Non-Stop flights from Mumbai and New Delhi to Amman

Press Release | January 9, 2025

Royal Jordanian Airlines has unveiled its latest expansion move, launching non-stop routes connecting Amman, Jordan’s vibrant capital, with Mumbai and New Delhi. Starting April 17, 2025, travellers can fly to Mumbai with four weekly flights, while the New Delhi service will begin on September 17, 2025, with an equal frequency. This strategic addition aims to position Jordan as a premier destination for Indian travellers, while seamlessly connecting them to over 45 global destinations.

A Gateway to Jordan’s Rich Experiences
As part of the airline’s “Explore Jordan” initiative, these routes highlight Jordan’s unique blend of ancient wonders and modern charm. From the UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra to the serene waters of the Dead Sea and the bustling streets of Amman, the country promises a five-hour journey into Arabian authenticity and contemporary allure.

“The launch of our new routes to Mumbai and New Delhi marks a significant milestone in our strategy to promote Jordan as a tourism destination for the Indian market,” said Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Jordanian Airlines. “Through these routes, we aim to showcase the unique experiences Jordan offers while positioning Royal Jordanian as a boutique airline that connects cultures and creates exceptional travel experiences.”

Enhanced Connectivity and Comfort
Amman’s strategic location will serve as a gateway for Indian travellers, offering seamless connections to Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Supporting this expansion is Royal Jordanian’s fleet upgrade, with 19 new A320neo and Boeing 787 aircraft set to debut in 2025/26. The Mumbai and New Delhi routes will feature A320neo planes equipped with dual-class configurations, advanced in-flight entertainment, and WiFi services, ensuring a comfortable and efficient journey.

Competitive fares make these new routes even more enticing, with one-way tickets starting at INR 19,999 and return fares at INR 33,333. With a quick five-hour flight time, Indian travellers can explore Jordan’s rich cultural heritage, modern Arabian charm, and dynamic tourism offerings.

Building Bilateral Ties
Beyond tourism, these routes are set to enhance economic and trade relations between India and Jordan. Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) expressed its enthusiasm for the collaboration, with an official spokesperson stating, “The new route marks a significant milestone in enhancing global connectivity and offering seamless travel options for various passenger segments. At CSMIA, we are committed to continually elevating the travel experience through state-of-the-art infrastructure and a relentless focus on excellence.”

The Future of Travel
With four weekly flights to Mumbai and New Delhi, Royal Jordanian Airlines is poised to set a new benchmark in travel between India and Jordan. Offering flexibility, exceptional service, and competitive pricing, the airline is ready to introduce Indian travellers to the unparalleled wonders of Jordan, strengthening ties between the two nations and elevating the region’s tourism landscape.
