Star Voyager to Homeport in Hong Kong from 27 June to 31 August 2025, Sailing to Japan and Taiwan

April 25, 2025 | Press Release

In a milestone moment for Asia’s cruise industry, the newly revitalised StarCruises brand is making a much-anticipated return to its iconic homeport—Hong Kong. From 27 June to 31 August 2025, the Star Voyager will operate a dynamic summer sailing season, marking the brand’s re-entry into the regional cruise scene with a bold lineup of itineraries to Japan and Taiwan.

This announcement brings fresh momentum to cruise tourism in the region and rekindles the legacy of a brand that first launched sailings from Hong Kong over 30 years ago. With the Star Voyager, StarCruises is not just revisiting its roots but also reaffirming its commitment to shaping the future of cruising in Asia.

“We are proud to return to Hong Kong, a city that holds a special place in StarCruises’ history and heritage,” said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. “Star Voyager represents our renewed vision—delivering exceptional cruise experiences for the domestic market and the expanding Fly and Rail cruise segments.”

Diverse Itineraries Across Asia

During its homeport season, Star Voyager will offer a variety of 2-, 3-, and 5-night itineraries to destinations in Taiwan and Japan, including scenic ports like Keelung, Kaohsiung, Penghu, Naha, and Ishigaki. The highlight for many guests is expected to be the 2-Night Weekend High Seas Cruise, departing every Friday, ideal for short getaways with the ship itself as the destination.
