Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hospitality group, successfully hosted an exclusive Familiarization (FAM) trip in the Maldives from 23–26 August 2025, bringing together prominent destination management company (DMC) partners from India. The initiative underscored Centara’s growing focus on the Indian outbound market while spotlighting the breadth of its Maldives portfolio.

Over four days, delegates experienced immersive stays and curated programs across Centara’s four Maldivian resorts:
Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa – The Centara Collection – a boutique island retreat with award-winning house reefs
Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa – an adults-only haven framed by turquoise lagoons
Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives – the first Maldivian resort with a full-scale waterpark, designed for families
Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives – a luxury escape balancing relaxation and indulgence

From traditional Maldivian welcomes to themed dining, spa rituals at Spa Cenvaree, and menus thoughtfully tailored to Indian tastes, the program highlighted Centara’s ability to cater to diverse segments – families, honeymooners, luxury travelers, and experience-driven explorers alike.

For Indian trade partners, the FAM provided valuable insights into positioning each property for their client base, while also opening fresh avenues for collaboration. The initiative reinforced Centara’s commitment to personalized hospitality and to strengthening relationships in India – a priority growth market for the group.
