Melange 2025 concludes in Mumbai: Building meaningful connections and setting new industry benchmarks News September 23, 2025 | By Anita Jain Shah Mélange 2025 drew to a close today at NESCO, Mumbai, after two days of focused networking, industry discussions, and structured business meetings. Building on the success of its inaugural edition last year, Mélange 2025 continued to underline its unique position in India’s travel and hospitality trade landscape. Last year, Mélange set itself apart by introducing a curated, controlled format that prioritised quality over quantity, providing participants with meaningful engagement rather than traditional, crowded exhibition experiences. This year, the event moved to a larger venue to accommodate a growing number of participants and meet the rising demand. The exhibition floor expanded to 265 stalls, reflecting confidence from both exhibitors and organisers, while the number of buyers participating also increased. A key addition in 2025 was the first-ever hosted buyer programme. According to the organisers, “From our first edition, we have listened and learnt. Edition 2 reflects those improvements, and as we move towards Edition 3, we will continue to incorporate valuable feedback. Our satisfaction comes from seeing you take the leads and connections made here and turning them into meaningful business. Mélange stands for a healthy, responsible, and positive industry — one that values self-respect, fair practices, and the worth of quality work over unsustainable margins. Together, we can set new standards and prosper collectively.” While exhibitor participation was robust, the majority of buyers came from Mumbai and neighbouring cities, underscoring Mélange’s current strength as a Western India-focused platform. Organisers acknowledge the opportunity to expand reach, noting that attracting buyers from smaller cities and other regions of India could further enhance the event’s impact and position it as a truly national marketplace. The event maintained its hallmark approach of controlled numbers and spaced-out scheduling, ensuring that meetings were purposeful rather than mere formalities. Both buyers and exhibitors responded positively to this structure, using the platform to build lasting business relationships and exchange insights. Presentations from buyers’ side added additional depth, giving fresh perspective to industry conversations. Several delegates who had initially attended only Day 1 returned for Day 2, highlighting the pull and value of the event. Looking ahead, Mélange Edition 3 is scheduled for 26–27 September 2026 in Mumbai, coinciding with World Tourism Day. This alignment with a globally recognised milestone signals the organisers’ intent to elevate the event’s significance and create memorable experiences for participants. The MTF Events team concluded, “We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Platinum Partners, Gold Partners, Hospitality Partners, all our exhibitors, the travel media, and most importantly, the buyers, for taking time out of their schedules to join us. Your presence and participation are what make Mélange possible.” With lessons from two editions, a growing exhibitor base, and the introduction of structured buyer programmes, Mélange is steadily moving towards setting new benchmarks in India’s travel trade exhibition sector. Its combination of curated engagement, purposeful meetings, and strategic growth plans suggests a platform ready to expand nationally while retaining the quality and focus that first made it stand out.
