Costa Cruises will restart winter sailings in India this year

Starting from November 4, 2023, to January 1, 2024, Indian passengers can expereince the Italian cruise brand – Costa Cruises sailing from Indian ports While this marks Costa Cruises’ fifth winter sailing season in India, this time it promises a distinctive experience. Now, you may wonder, what sets it apart?

The brand is deploying a bigger ship this time – Costa Serena for the Indian market which features 1500 cabins and has a capacity of 3780 passengers. Moreover, Costa Serena will be the biggest cruise ship ever deployed in the Indian market by any international cruise brand.

Costa Cruises will be doing only India sailings, unlike all the previous calls which included Maldives. The ship will touch ports like Mumbai, Goa, Kochi and Lakshwadeep and guests will have options of either boarding from Mumbai or from Kochi. The sailings will have multiple options of 2 nights, 3 nights and 5 nights.

For the first time in 75 years of operations, Costa Cruises will be touching Lakshadweep islands.

The announcement was made in the presence of esteemed guests, including Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways of the Government of India. Also present were Roberto Alberti, the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Costa Cruises; Francesco Raffa, Director – Asia Region & Growth Markets, Costa Cruises; Alessandro De Masi, the Consul General of Italy in Mumbai, and other esteemed senior officials.

In a collaborative effort with Lotus Aero Enterprises, Costa Cruises has developed these remarkable sailings in India. Coinciding with the auspicious Hindu festival of Diwali in mid-November and year-end celebrations in December, these cruises have been meticulously planned to enhance the celebratory spirit.

All About Costa Serena India sailings:

Costa Serena features 1500 cabins in total, including 505 with private balconies and 58 suites. The ship houses 5 restaurants,10 bars and a Cigar lounge. Costa Serena also has a wellness centre, gym, thermal baths, thalassotherapy pool, treatment rooms for spa, Turkish bath, 5 hot tubs, 4 swimming pools including two with automatic cover, 5 jacuzzis, a casino and a soccer field.

FREE Cruise for kids below 18 years, up to 2 kids when sharing a cabin with 2 full paying adults, only pay mandatory port chargers and onboard gratuity. However, this offer is not valid for peak sailings.

No passport or visa is required for Indian nationals sailing with Costa Serena on India sailings.
