Cruise holidays are the next big trending segment in India: One Above Holidays

With cruise holidays becoming popular in India, expert DMC operators like One Above Holidays based in Mumbai are turning the focus on this segment. As per the market experts, close to 3,00,000 Indians opted for cruise holidays from India in 2019. The numbers have gone in 2022 down due to travel restrictions, all-time high flight costs and visa delays. However, with India getting its very-own cruise liner, Cordelia Cruises, Indian travellers are back to opting for this category of vacation leading to more travel companies turning their focus to cruise holidays.

One Above Holidays, with its presence in over 30 countries is positive that cruise travel will be one of the fastest-growing travel segments in India in 2023. The company has tied up with leading global cruise operators in India like Resorts World Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruises and Costa Cruises as a travel partner. The company will soon be adding MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Lines to the list to offer all the leading global cruise products on one platform for its travel partners. One Above Holidays is also a registered Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) for Resorts World Cruises for the Middle East region.

Speaking about the cruise vacation trend in India, Rahim Aslam, Founder & Director, One Above Global said, “While many travel agents think selling a cruise product is complicated, its the other way round. It is the least complex travel product with the highest rate of passenger satisfaction. A holiday where travel experts just have to book the cabin and rest all requirements like food, entertainment, and excursions are taken care of by the cruise operator. So, all our travel partners got to do is package flights with cruise products for their customers. And we will be offering cruise+fligts+land packages with multiple options, itineraries and destinations to make it easier for our travel partners to pick and choose as per their customer’s requirements.”

The company recently appointed Preeti John, Head of the Cruise Holidays Division to boost the team’s confidence in selling cruises. The company will also be organising multiple training programmes with cruise operators to update the team on cruise products from time and time and sell cruises in the most efficient manner to the travel partners.

One Above Holidays recently opened its office in Chennai to further enhance its presence in the South India market. Internationally, the company will soon open its office in Kazakhstan and Singapore to complete the circle to become an Asian DMC in the true sense. According to Aslam, destinations like Vietnam, Cambodia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Dubai, Baku, Georgia and Switzerland will be trending in 2023 among Indian travellers
