Genting Cruise Lines launched B2B app to update partners about new health norms

Genting Cruise Lines has announced the launch of a new B2B app geared toward the company’s travel trade and business partners to provide a wealth of information, all in the palm of their hands. The “GCL India” app is readily available via the Google Play Store Link- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dreamcruises and the Apple App Store Link -https://bit.ly/gclindiaios-2020 for quick installation now and shall deliver a comprehensive platform for
business partners to access a range of helpful tools including itineraries, brochures and presentations,
cruise calendars, photos and videos and important news.

The goal of the app is to streamline information delivery and to speed up the turnaround time of providing essential materials to their end consumers.

“In 1993, we started our journey with Star Cruises, then the only cruise brand in Asia and we have since grown to include Dream Cruises and Crystal Cruises under the Genting Cruise Lines family. Our growth has been exponential and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Indian travel trade partners. It’s our travel partners who’ve contributed to our success and growth and inspired us to go digital to create this app so we can stay even more connected,” said Naresh Rawal, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Genting Cruise Lines India.

“Our “GCL India” mobile application will help travel partners stay connected with Genting Cruise Lines and be able to view and download a number of important marketing assets ranging from detailed cruise calendars to help our stakeholders understand our routes better to various rich tabs featuring email newsletters and promotional offers and marketing tools like images, presentations, videos, brochures, promo flyers, info graphics, and more, via Push Notification. As the customer user interface
becomes stronger year on year, it is our aim to see increased visibility and better brand recall among our travel partners for our brands,” added Rawal.

The “GCL India” app will be an integral part of the company’s foundation in the lead up to the resumption of operations for its cruise brands in the near future. The app will help to familiarize travel and business partners with the enhanced health and hygiene measures that Genting Cruise Lines has developed in order to boost consumer confidence in its brands and in cruise travel.

From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Genting Cruise Lines has taken a proactive approach to immediately review its existing outbreak prevention and response plan and develop a comprehensive set of enhanced measures to supplement the existing high standards of protocols across its fleet. The updated set of procedures covers multiple facets of cruise operations including cleaning and sanitation, pre-boarding screening, strengthened practices and standards for guest accommodations, food, public areas and crew member hygiene, as well as entertainment and recreational activities.

In preparation for the resumption of its cruise operations, Genting Cruise Lines has also taken the opportunity during this hiatus period to implement comprehensive crew training to reinforce effective cleaning procedures, health and hygiene protocols and efficient guest interaction.

Looking ahead, Genting Cruise Lines is working on a comprehensive, safe and reliable plan, in full collaboration with governments, quarantine departments and port authorities, for cruise operations to resume, as when travel restrictions begin to be lifted by regional governments around Asia.
