Puneet Singh Pesricha, Singh Consultancy #RiseLikeAPhoenix Special Feature ‘Show respect to everyone who works for a living, regardless of how trivial their job is.’ While most of the us started working either during our college or post our graduation, Puneet Singh Pesricha, Founder, Singh Consultancy started off as a newspaper delivery boy during his school days. He lost his father when he was 8 years old, but his mother made sure that he gets the right education to become self dependent in life. “From my childhood, my mother & brother taught me one thing – No work is big or small if you are doing it for learning. God never gives you a dream that matches your budget. He’s not checking your bank account, he’s checking your faith,” said Puneet. From 2005 – 2014, Puneet tried his hand at multiple jobs – from a call centre job to joining his brother’s tailor business in Thailand, to working as an office boy in a travel agency and even joining a shipping company. However, things changed when he joined a travel representation company in 2014. Puneet found his passion and worked hard to grow in this industry. In three years, he moved to another representation company and things got even better. During his job in travel representation company, he learned one thing, “Never turn down a job because you think it’s too small, you don’t know where it can lead. If you want to get ahead, volunteer to do the things no one else wants to do, and do it with all your heart.” It was in 2018 (alongside his job with travel representation company) that he started a small WhatsApp group to help people get jobs. “I didn’t charge anyone or did it for fame. It was just a genuine group which I started to help few friends in the industry,” clears Puneet. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular travel jobs group in India. In fact, Puneet recently launched his very own HR & travel representation company crediting it to that small initiative he started selflessly.
