Ranveer Singh launches his wax statues at Madame Tussauds News Bollywood’s celebrated figure, Ranveer Singh, encountered not just one but two lifelike replicas of himself at Madame Tussauds! The globally renowned actor, recognized for his record-breaking performances, distinctive personal style, and captivating charisma, graced the famed London attraction to unveil his dual wax figures. Accompanied by his mother, who initially introduced the budding megastar to Madame Tussauds London through childhood photo albums showcasing her own visits, this marks the first time Singh has been immortalized by the prestigious institution. Visitors can now interact with his wax figures at Madame Tussauds’ attractions in London and Singapore. Singh’s journey to stardom has been nothing short of legendary, characterized by a string of consecutive blockbuster hits that established him as a beloved Bollywood icon. From his debut in “Band Baaja Baaraat” (2010) to acclaimed films like “Bajirao Mastani” (2015), “Padmaavat” (2018), and “Gully Boy” (2019), the actor has left an indelible mark on the international film scene. Sustaining his dynamic presence in India for over a decade, he has consistently secured a spot on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2012, earning acclaim from publications like GQ, India Today, and The Indian Express, which recognise him as one of the nation’s top 50 most influential and powerful individuals. Engaged in every step of the creative process, Ranveer Singh meticulously selected the distinctive looks and styles for his wax figures. The figure unveiled in London pays a vibrant tribute to Ranveer’s culture and heritage, featuring a neon sherwani designed by Manish Arora, a standout ensemble worn during his wedding celebrations. The eye-catching outfit boasts numerous intricately sewn embellishments, a flamboyant leopard head shoulder detail, a triple-layered diamond and pearl necklace, and eight large gemstone-set rings. On the other hand, the Singapore figure exudes elegance in a stunning custom tuxedo with a velvet blazer adorned with floral embellishments. This exquisite outfit, designed by Gaurav Gupta and previously worn by Ranveer at the Hello! Hall of Fame Awards, was generously contributed by the actor himself for the wax figure’s attire. The anticipation for these wax figures began in 2019 when Ranveer Singh was honoured with the Madame Tussauds of the Future Award at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards. The announcement revealed his imminent inclusion in the prestigious wax museum’s lineup. Fans eagerly awaited this moment, and today’s announcement confirms the arrival of not one but two new wax figures, immortalizing the global superstar at Madame Tussauds. On seeing two of his first-ever figures from the attraction, Ranveer Singh said: “As a child my Mother first told me about Madame Tussauds. Ever since a young age, I’ve had a fascination for this mythical, magical place called Madame Tussauds and it’s been incredible to see how the journey of life works… What an incredible moment it is for me to be here with my Mum, launching my own figure at Madame Tussauds London. It’s a hugely proud moment for me and for my family. It is a significant achievement to have your figure at Madame Tussauds because the attraction recognises excellence in each respective field, so to be in such an esteemed company feels really wonderful. I feel very happy, very humble, very grateful and very very proud.” On welcoming the actor to its A-list lineup, a Madame Tussauds London spokesperson said: “Ranveer Singh is not merely an actor but a force of creative dynamism. With a line-up of blockbuster hits and an unwavering commitment to social causes, Ranveer Singh’s influence extends beyond just cinema. His impact is felt not only through the lens of entertainment but also through his dedication to creating a more compassionate and equitable world for all. It’s for this reason that his stardom transcends globally and the launch of two new figures sitting in opposite corners of the world are a testament to his undeniable achievements.” Andre Timmins, Co-Founder of IIFA, expressed his excitement about being part of the unveiling of Ranveer’s Madame Tussauds figure launch. He reminisced about the 2011 IIFA Awards in Toronto, where Ranveer clinched his first Best Debutant Award and declared on stage that “this is just the beginning.” Timmins noted that, much like IIFA, this marked the initiation of Ranveer’s remarkable career. He took pride in the brand’s ability to elevate an icon of Indian Cinema to new heights, garnering global recognition and the prestigious honor of being featured at Madame Tussauds London. Ranveer’s wax figure in London is open for guests to meet at the attraction starting from Monday, December 18th. The Bollywood superstar joins the star-studded lineup at Madame Tussauds London, sharing the stage with luminaries like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Beyonce, Cristiano Ronaldo, Deepika Padukone, and 150 other incredibly lifelike celebrity figures. Meanwhile, Ranveer’s Singapore figure is available for interaction from Saturday, December 23rd, within the IIFA Awards Experience zone at Madame Tussauds Singapore.
