SKAL in association with VisitBritain hosts an evening for its members in Mumbai

“Every task, goal, race and year comes to an end… therefore, make it a habit to FINISH STRONG.”

And that’s what indeed happened at the year-end event of SKAL International Bombay (144) in Mumbai. Organised in association with Visit Britain, the event was a perfect platform for business networking, destination workshop (Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Destination Workshop) and sharing some holiday cheer!

Speaking about the collaboration, Vishal Bhatia, Country Manager – India, Visit Britain said, “It was amazing to work with SKAL International Bombay (144) to engage with our trade partners and SKAL members to showcase the West Midlands and Birmingham which plays host to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. With over 140 trade partners from Mumbai in attendance, the response has been extremely encouraging and we see a huge potential for product development to include the West Midlands as part of itineraries going forward. We will be working closely with our travel trade partners pan India on similar lines over the next few weeks.”

Apart from the presentation by Visit Britain, the event also celebrated the first-ever online travel products auction by SKAL International Bombay (144). Elaborating on the same, Sunil Va, President, SKAL International Bombay (144) said, “The event reiterates our commitment of giving it back to the members of SKAL International in terms of recognition, networking, education and this event, in particular, showcased the announcement of winners of our first-ever online auction of travel products which were offered to our members travel products at a 50 % discount, and we received an overwhelming response from many members who bid and bought all the vouchers which were sponsored by hotels, airlines, cruise liners and sporting event promoters.”

Moreover, under the SKAL’s CSR programme, all the attendees received a beautiful Christmas gift hamper sourced from ‘Together’ which is an organisation supporting autistic children.
