Spain’s tourism sector is gearing up for a remarkable resurgence in India’s outbound travel market, showcasing resilience and growth in the post-pandemic era. Fraga emphasized Spain’s commitment to explore not only well-known destinations like Andalucía and Valencia but also the hidden gems, with a particular focus on Galicia. The Tourism Office plans to organise press and travel trade familiarisation trips to provide firsthand experiences of Spain’s diverse offerings.

Fraga said, “India’s outbound tourism market has indeed shown great resilience in the post-pandemic era. We have registered fantastic recovery and growth in terms of arrivals during the last two years. So, we surely hope to further enhance our presence in this market via digital as well as in-person promotional activities in 2024. We are planning various press and travel trade familiarisation trips not only to some of the already-popular Spanish destinations like Andalucía and Valencia, but also to the hidden gems like Galicia. And of course, there will be multiple activities celebrating Spanish art, culture and gastronomy, among others, targeted towards end consumers/travellers as well. All in all, we look forward to a successful year 2024!”

As Spain charts its course for 2024, the nation anticipates a positive trajectory, building on the recovery witnessed in the last two years, and embracing new opportunities in the dynamic Indian travel landscape.
