TAT Mumbai holds a trade media roundtable in Mumbai

Thailand – one of the most popular countries for travel opened for fully-vaccinated Indian travellers from November 1, 2021. Travellers must obtain a Thailand Pass from the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s official website. This information was provided by TAT Mumbai during a recent roundtable meeting with a few of the leading B2B travel trade media in Mumbai.

A list of documents has been issued by Thailand tourism to ease the process. Here’s a checklist for the required documents:
– A certificate of Vaccination (fully vaccinated) with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling.
– Those previously infected within 3 months must have received 1 dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling.
– Travellers under 12 years of age, travelling with parents or guardians, are exempt from the vaccination requirement.
– A Medical Certificate with an RT-PCR lab result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected issued any more than 72 hours before travelling (all travellers).
– A confirmed payment for a 1-night stay at SHA+, AQ, OQ, or AHQ accommodation, and 1 RT-PCR test.
An insurance policy with coverage no less than US$50,000.
Travellers can choose from a list of 17 destinations, called as ‘Sandbox destinations’. Visitors will have to stay for seven nights in one of these destinations; afterwards, they are free to move to any of the other parts of Thailand. The Thailand Pass will allow fully vaccinated travellers to enter Thailand without mandatory quarantine or sandbox stay. They only have to stay for one night in an ASQ or SHA+ Hotel while they wait for the result of the COVID 19 RT-PCR test taken upon arrival.

Unvaccinated children below 12 years may travel with vaccinated parents without quarantine.
