Tourism Seychelles concludes three-city roadshow in India

Tourism Seychelles recently hosted a roadshow in three Indian cities from July 31 to August 4, 2023. The event, held in Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad, aimed to strengthen Seychelles’ connection with the Indian travel industry.

Coming after challenging years for tourism, the roadshow brought together key partners for personalised meetings with over 180 top travel agents and operators across India. The Seychelles team, joined by Air Seychelles, including Ms Eliza Moïse and Harshvardhan D. Trivedi, along with DMCs like 7 South and Holidays Seychelles, and hotels such as Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino, Club Med, Hotel Raffles, Silver Pearl, Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa, and Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel, showcased the destination’s offerings.

The events facilitated meaningful discussions and networking opportunities between Seychelles’ representatives and esteemed professionals from the three cities. The goal was to provide agents with immersive insights into Seychelles’ diverse tourism options, solidifying its position as a favoured choice for Indian travellers seeking remarkable experiences. Attendees had the chance to explore tailored packages and gain hands-on knowledge about Seychelles’ outstanding hospitality and adventurous activities.

Reflecting on the event, Bernadette Willemin, Director General – Destination Marketing, Tourism Seychelles, highlighted the significance of India as a pivotal market. She emphasised the commitment to nurturing partnerships with Indian trade allies to welcome more visitors and offer them exceptional experiences on the islands. The roadshow served as a vital tool in showcasing Seychelles as a year-round destination catering to diverse travellers such as honeymooners, nature enthusiasts, luxury seekers, families, divers, and adventure enthusiasts. Notably, eco-tourism stands as a key draw for environmentally conscious travellers. Willemin expressed the dedication to expanding Seychelles’ presence in India, fostering new collaborations.

Seychelles has carved its place in the outbound market, particularly captivating Indian tourists seeking unique destinations with activities for all age groups. The destination’s allure also lies in its eco-friendliness and natural beauty, attracting those who prioritise sustainable choices and a close connection to nature. The country’s pristine white sand beaches, vibrant flora and fauna, luxurious offerings, island hopping ventures, and local travel experiences collectively contribute to its appeal.
