VietJet makes it easier for Indians to fly to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland

Vietnam’s leading new-age carrier, VietJet has announced the first-ever direct flight between Vietnam and Queensland. The airline will operate biweekly services between Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Brisbane Airport (BNE) via its Airbus (A330-300) fleet. The first non-stop flight will commence in June 2023, allowing travellers the option of 12 SkyBoss Business seats, and 365 SkyBoss seats for a luxurious travel experience.

With favourable demand being showcased between the two regions, passengers arriving in Brisbane will be able to connect to 30 destinations to experience Queensland’s culture & lifestyle. The flights to Brisbane will take off on June 16, 2023, with two flights per week, operating every Monday and Friday from Ho Chi Minh City at 10:05 (local time) and landing in Brisbane at 21:10 (local time). The return flights will take place every Monday and Friday, departing at 23:10 (local time) and landing at Ho Chi Minh City at 04:50 the following day (local time).

With this new expansion, Vietjet’s Vice President Nguyen Thanh Son said: “We are very excited to be the first direct flight provider for Ho Chi Minh City & Queensland. The addition of the Sunshine state to our list of destinations is yet another step towards strengthening relations between Australia and Vietnam. Through our network of connecting flights to Vietnam, we will also open Australia to Asian & European markets and vice versa. Hoping to become a catalyst of growth for these two big nations, VietJet will continue to grow tourism and trade opportunities for both Australia & Vietnam.”

Additionally, with the expansion of VietJet’s flight network to major cities in India, Indians will now be able to fly to a variety of regions, including, Queensland, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, Bali, Thailand, Japan, South Korea & Taiwan amongst others. Operating around 450 flights daily on 160 routes, VietJet will continue to connect Vietnam and other Asian, and European countries.

Passengers flying the new routes can choose from a range of ticket classes, including SkyBoss Business, SkyBoss, Deluxe, and Eco, each offering all-inclusive services with attractive prices such as up to 60 kgs of checked baggage, organic food, free travel insurance, and more. Different travel classes include:
